Costs and what to expect with private healthcare

I believe in full fee transparency so that you can make informed decisions about your care without any unexpected costs.

For self-funding patients, a new patient consultation is £225 and a follow-up consultation is £150. If you hold private medical insurance, please contact your insurer before your appointment to confirm that your policy covers the consultation and any recommended treatment.

Some conditions can be treated during the consultation itself. Cryotherapy (a freezing treatment used to remove certain skin lesions) carries an additional charge of £100 if performed at the time of your appointment.

For any other procedures, including skin surgery or biopsies, a written quote will be provided before any treatment takes place. There is no obligation to proceed, and all costs will be discussed with you in full beforehand.

Where medication is recommended, a private prescription will be issued. This can be dispensed at the hospital pharmacy or at any high street chemist. Please be aware that private prescriptions are not covered by NHS prescription charges, exemptions or prepayment certificates, so the cost of medication will be an additional expense. The price will vary depending on the medication prescribed.
